Junior/Senior High Ministry

We’re dedicated to providing a place for students Junior High through high school to connect with God, with other students, and with older committed leaders that are dedicated to seeing students grow closer to Christ. We believe that you can't do life alone, and that our students are at a unique time of life where they can grasp the gospel and the impact of having the life of Jesus in their lives.

Sunday Classes

Each Sunday, the Youth meet for classes in the Morning (10:00 am -10:45 am) and in the Evening (6:00 pm - 7:00 pm). The lessons in our Sunday Classes explore books of the Bible (recent studies include the Gospel of Matthew), key Christian doctrines (recent studies include the Westminster Shorter Catechism), and key theological issues that relate to Youth (recent studies include Engaging God’s World and the Gospel in Everyday Life).

Bible Study

Each Wednesday, the Youth meet for Bible Study at the church from 7-8:30pm. Our Bible Study meetings are less formal than our Sunday Classes, and include time for snacks, a game, singing, prayer, and Bible Study. The lessons in our Bible Study are all rooted in Scripture, but focus on very practical content and application. Recent studies include the Gospel of Matthew and Why do we pray?  We are currently going through an overview of the Bible with a special look at the covenants God has made with man in redemptive history.

Special Events

Each month, the Youth have some type of special event, either for the purpose of fellowship, or the purpose of serving our church or community. Past events include boating, tubing, game nights, bowling, disc golf, going to the beach, putt-putt golf, movie nights, and scavenger hunts.

Each February, we have a two-day Winter Retreat. This is a time for the students to have extended time together studying God’s Word and enjoying fellowship with one another away from their ordinary surroundings.

Each Summer, we have a special event of some kinds nearly every week. We also go to Ridge Haven, our denominational camp and conference center in North Carolina, for their Service Project Camp. This year’s trip to Ridge Haven will be in July of 2015.
